Weathering the Storm and Crossings to Newfoundland

Our journey commenced with a thrilling adventure across Baffin Bay, where we successfully weathered the storm, showcasing not only our Captain's upmost concern for our safety but also his determination to keep us on schedule. Upon our arrival in Newfoundland and Labrador, we were greeted by the historic beauty of the landscape. We made our way to Battle Harbour and Red Bay, two pivotal locations that narrate the rich marine heritage of the area.

Discovering Traditional Fishing Methods

At Battle Harbour and Red Bay, we delved into the traditional fishing methods that have sustained local communities for generations. The guided tours illuminated the intricacies involved in fishing activities and the sustainable practices that are a hallmark of this region's culture. To cap off our learning experience, we indulged in a wonderful seafood BBQ that celebrated the bountiful riches of the ocean, further connecting us to the local heritage.

Adventure Awaits at Gros Morne National Park

Following the feast and a memorable day, we set sail to the stunning shores of Gros Morne National Park. Here, we embarked on an invigorating hike to the mountain summit, where panoramic views awaited us. The sight of the dramatic fjords and tablelands was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The area's geological intricacies tell a story of natural history, making it a perfect destination for those keen on exploration and understanding the forces of nature.

Whale Watching in Tadoussac, Quebec
